Master Corporation
We provide engineering, design, drafting, procurement, and construction services for the oil, gas, and process industries utilizing our own expert staff and modern equipment fleet. Our project delivery methods include design-build and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), as well as design-bid-build.
Our History
Since beginning operations in August 1998 in west Texas, Master Corporation has completed more than 250 projects of various types and sizes for its customers across the country. Our key employees have acquired many years of experience in the completion of progressively more complex projects using the design-bid-build or design-build delivery methods. We also have extensive experience with pure design and construction management, both for a fee and “at risk.”

- Process
- Civil & Structure
- Electrical & Instrumentation
- Mechanical
- Process Safety Management
- Drafting
Our process engineering services include simulations of existing and new systems, troubleshooting, and de-bottlenecking systems to optimize product and income streams. Process work includes hydrocarbon treating, dehydration, refrigeration, and cryogenic processing, as well as stabilization and fractionation. We also assist with environmental permitting requirements.
Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC)
As major corporations continue to downsize, fewer companies can afford to engineer, procure and then construct new projects in-house. Negotiated engineering services and competitive bidding construction projects are time-consuming and can lead to project startup delays, extended completion dates and postponement of revenue generation.
Don’t let separate engineering, procurement and construction services delay your capital projects.
Master Corporation provides turnkey solutions, from project conceptualization through design, engineering, procurement, construction and startup. Our staff has designed and completed many types of projects, including treating, metering and production facilities, compressor and pump stations, as well as refinery and petrochemical unit modifications and additions. We also provide all types of design and drafting services, utilizing state-of-the-art technology and software.
Advantages of Outsourcing EPC Projects to Master Corporation
- Responsibility is clear.
With all services provided by one company, there is a smooth flow from design through procurement to construction. Finger-pointing between engineering and construction firms is eliminated. - Cost savings are realized.
Obtaining separate proposals for engineering and construction services greatly increases the owner-provided man-hours spent preparing bid packages and evaluating proposals. Other costs associated with the bid process, such as multiple document preparation and site investigations may also be eliminated. - Turnkey projects can save a great deal of time.
Developing drawings and starting construction as required can accelerate project completion by weeks or months. For example, as foundation plans are completed, that phase of construction can begin. Piping and electrical drawings can be developed as the foundation work progresses, instead of waiting for the entire design to be completed before commencing work.
The sooner the project is finished, the sooner you can realize increased revenues!
Construction Services
Master Corporation provides construction services for turnkey and construction-only projects. We utilize our own project management, safety compliance, quality assurance, supervision, labor resources and our own construction equipment to self-perform projects, including excavation, foundation, structural erection, mechanical erection, piping fabrication, piping erection and painting.
Recently Completed Projects Listing
Our completed projects include gathering and transmission systems for oil and natural gas, metering and stabilization facilities, pump and compressor stations, crude oil breakout stations, natural gas processing and treating facilities and refined product distribution facilities.
Acid Gas Disposal
Master Corporation’s acid gas disposal process, developed by Mr. Frank Eaton, allows processors to dispose of acid gas more easily and inexpensively. Whenever a field with sour hydrocarbons (H2S and CO2) is developed – especially in the case of natural gas – two major problems must be solved: the removal of the sour components from the hydrocarbon stream and the economical disposal of the resulting acid gas.
A Typical Approach to Acid Gas Disposal
Sour components are removed through a solvent absorption process, normally accomplished with an amine (i.e. DGA or DEA) treating system. The regeneration section of the system strips the H2S and CO2 from the solvent. The resulting water-saturated sour mix, called acid gas, is then sent to a sulfur recovery unit (SRU), where a catalyst is used to convert the H2S to elemental sulfur with a 95% to 99% efficiency. The remaining effluent is incinerated, and the resulting byproducts are vented. If the acid gas is high-purity CO2, it is simply vented to the atmosphere.
SRUs usually require a lengthy permitting process, present operating difficulties, and are relatively expensive to build and operate. Since CO2 is a greenhouse gas, its release into the atmosphere may soon be restricted as a contributor to global warming.
Our "Zero Emissions" Approach
Rather than trying to make sulfur recovery units (SRUs) more economical, more efficient, or easier to operate, Master Corporation takes a "zero" emissions approach. Our process eliminates the SRU as well as the intermediate dehydration of the compressed acid gas, instead of utilizing the saltwater disposal (SWD) utility common to most gas plants. The quantity of water is small compared to existing disposal technologies, but larger quantities can be injected if required.
Advantages of Our Approach
- The cost to build an injection facility of this type is much lower than for an SRU, with a much shorter permitting time.
- Unlike a sulfur plant, our process is not rate-sensitive – increases or decreases in acid gas flow rates do not necessitate operator adjustments to the system.
- The use of materials resistant to corrosive elements ensures system dependability and makes it much more economical to operate.
